Five Star / 5 * Hotels for Sale:

A significant proportion of the hotels that pass through our hands are 5* Hotels.

Buying 5* hotels is clearly a far more expensive business than buying less well rated hotels.  In the centre of London, prices for 5* Hotels can exceed £1M per room.  But they are worth every penny.

Like Blue Chip stocks, 5* hotels are the pinnacle of the business.  They provide excellent stability of income and in many cases are 'trophy hotels' - ones that you will have heard of, ones that have had salads named after them, ones where celebrity chefs are resident.  In many cases the valuations on these hotels are much higher than they would otherwise be if they didn't have 'trophy' status, but in terms of capital growth, the represent an excellent opportunity.  The premium that you pay to get involved in such a hotel is reflected on exit by the premium your buyer will pay you.
